Team Cohesion’s Relation to Athlete Performance and Satisfaction

A positive team environment can yield greater enjoyment by athletes and improved athletic performance. Unity amongst players must extend beyond a common athletic goal and become camaraderie and trust.

Fostering a Positive Team Culture Environment and the Subsequent Impacts

Athletes and coaches have been proven to respond well to intensive multiple-week teamwork interventions. Training athletes can extend beyond the court or field and into an academic style of learning. Unity, preparation, and ability are key indicators of potential athlete satisfaction. Hiring a sport psychologist on staff is the best first step to a more positive team environment.
